On August 9th we hosted our first Athlete Sustainability Summit at Gold Coast Farm, hosted by Lex Weinstein.
Dive into the event below:
To kick off the summit, we gathered on the traditional homelands of the Acjachemen/Juaneno Band of Mission Indians and were honored with a welcoming and greeting by the respected tribal elder and spiritual adviser Adelia Sandoval.
It was important for such a recognition in the larger work of Billabong Women's sustainability responsibility and commitments.
We then received a tour of the farm and learned more about how to get involved and be more eco-conscious.
Lex hosted a sustainability workshop with our athletes where they all took turns to listen and share their thoughts.
Sounds by Heather Nation were enjoyed throughout the night.
Dinner was served by Elodie Introia, an international chef and health coach.
We listened to presentations by non-profits.
Thanks to everyone who attended and this event a magical day!
