Hailing from Shonan, Japan just outside of Tokyo, Shino started surfing at age six in a local surf school, and entered her first competition at nine.
During the 2019 Pipe Masters in Hawaii, Shino met up with some of her Billabong Sea Sisters, Oahu locals Alessa Quizon and Luana Silva, who took Shino to some of their favorite spots on the island.
Fueled by açaí and poke bowls, the girls enjoyed a full-on beach day chasing waves and soaking in the sun together on the North Shore.
